The Golden Scroll
Kept. Found. Given to the dragon.
The eight-scene story, shot for real. A warrior finds the parchment in a temple, the diagram already on. At sunset she holds a cylinder of light to the adult iridescent dragon. Before that, the runesmith’s old fingers unrolling the same skin of paper on mossy stone.
The scroll is the thing that moves. It ties the workshop, the temple, and the flight together.
Found. Scene 1, no longer a thumbnail.
Offered. Scene 6: the softening. The hatchling, grown.
Kept. The hands that had it before she found it.
